Vipers SC pulled off a shocking first leg win against Nigeria's elite Enyimba FC in the African Champions league at Nakivubo Stadium Friday afternoon.

Vipers SC now will need a draw away in Nigeria to be able to advance to the next round.

In form winger Erisa Sekisambu scored the lone goal, snaking his way into the box and smashing the ball into the top corner.

Vipers SC had been written off by many since the departures of Farouk Miya and Joseph Mpande which left the attack depleted.

However, the club invested in title-winning George Best Nsimbe who has inspired the club to their maiden win at the African level.

The biggest challenge is the return leg in away Nigerian.
