Maureen Kyalya has cleansed fellow candidate in the Presidential elections Amama Mbabazi on allegations of making off with taxpayers' money by 'carrying the cross to the end'.

The Supreme Court ruled Thursday morning dismissing Mbabazi's petition for presenting insufficient evidence to nulify the election.

However, Kyalya, the only female candidate in the race described the Go Forward candidate as a hero.

She hailed: "No matter what the courts say tomorrow, the best hero he has been to stand for peaceful democracy at drastic personal costs."

Kyalya went on: "He has paid back to Ugandans every single coin he is supposed to have taken although I have a feeling that the beneficiaries will soon forget."

Below is the former candidate's post on social media before the ruling was made Thursday morning.

JOHN PATRICK MBABAZI: THE SILENT HERO WITH A LOUD APOLOGY:Although all religions start in Africa, we have the worst hearts when it comes to forgiveness.

But no matter what JPAM has ever done to Ugandans, he has ably carried the cross to the end.

No matter what the courts say tomorrow, the best hero he has been to stand for peaceful democracy at drastic personal costs.

He has paid back to Ugandans every single coin he is supposed to have taken although I have a feeling that the beneficiaries will soon forget.

Thanx JPAM for inspiring Uganda. You have taught me that falling is not a problem, the problem is failing to stand up again.

As you know the NRM system you yourself set up, it will be by great miracle that it does not bite you.

But to me you will always be a hero because what you did none of could do soon enough. Missing you.
