President Yoweri Museveni has called for more deployment of UPDF to stop killings going on in the troubled Rwenzori region.
At least over fifty have died in the clashes between police and the local people.
Police chief Gen. Kale Kayihura in his recent visits to the area, described the group involved in the clashes as organised criminals.
President Museveni who visited the area this week said nobody has a right o disrupt peace.
The commander in chief of armed forces said: "No one has a right to disturb the peace of these people. I also used this time to visit Semliki National Park."
On deployment he said: "I left for Rwenzori region to assess the security situation there. We re going to deploy more UPDF soldiers."
President Museveni was accompanied by wife Janet.
