The pain of the closure of Makerere University not only has affected students, parents and surrounding businesses but Mulago Hospital is bleeding.

President Yoweri Museveni Tuesday in his message to shut the university said he was asked by the university council.

Mulago Hospital authorities have run short of doctors to attend to patients since they relied on interns from the medical school to add to the numbers of staff.

Uganda Medical Association official Dr. Ekwaro Ebuku in an interview with NTV said Uganda's biggest hospital is at crossroads.

The number of students the Medical School supplies to the hospital amount to 300.
