Police chief Gen. Kale Kayihura again stayed away from summons by Parliament to explain the Kasese clashes but his colleagues Gen. Katumba Wamala and Gen. Jejje Odongo who appeared denied allegations that children were killed.

63 people died and about 139 were arrested after bloody exhange between security and Rwenzururu King Charles Wesley Mumbere last month.

Gen. Kayihura skipped the summon when two of his colleagues Gen. Wamala and Gen. Jejje turned up and were subjected to questioning .

The committee chaired by former police national spokesperson Judith Nabakooba continued with the pair.

However, the duo denied claims the clashes led to deaths of children.

Court in July this year summoned Gen. Kayihura to appear over the allegations of rampant police brutality but he did not report.
