Rwenzururu King Mumbere faces tall order in battle against tough prison life as new charges emerge

Rwenzururu King Charles Wesley Mumbere continues to face more charges every time he is brought to court.

Mumbere was arrested last month after the bloody clashes between his guards and security at his palace in Kasese.

He was driven to Jinja and incarcerated before being brought to court and charged with murder and remanded to Luzira Prison.

Last week, King Mumbere was returned to court and charged with terrorism and murder.

Tuesday, the Rwenzururu King was driven to Jinja and the court slapped charges of murder, attempted murder and terrorism.

He was remanded until December 28th when he is expected to return to hear more about his case.

Peter Elwelu the commander who battled King Rwenzururu's guards emerged early this week claiming the Omusinga has training bases in DRC for his men.

The allegations put the the King in a complex situation.

It is likely that he will face other charges when he returns to court on December 28.
