As the talk on succession emerges high on the agenda of National Resistance Movement NRM, the executive is expected to appoint a Constitutional Review Commission to review some key provisions of the 1995 Constitution according to the Deputy Attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana.

President Yoweri Museveni according to the 1995 Constitutional will be past the 75 year bracket and shall not contest the election.

However, why is the government bringing up a Constitutional Review Commission at this time of President Museveni's tenure?

In Parliament Monday, legislators led by Kampala Central lawmaker Muhammad Nsereko took it upon themselves to say they would not accept a debate on the removal of age limit.

President Museveni has not yet come out of his silence to add his voice to the ongoing debate on his presidency but analysts expect his men to come up to present his position.

NRM is expected to retreat to Kyankwanzi in April after Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga stepped on the earlier communication of this week.

High on the agenda according to some insiders is that some members of the party may present the issue for debate.
