Beti Kamya did not only stop at sweeping vendors off Park Yard in Kampala - she is demanding KCCA release businessman Ham Kiggundu's development plan but she will not have it easy as Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago stands his ground.

The Kampala Minister has moved to order KCCA to move quickly and approve businessman Ham Kiggundu's plan.

Kamya a fortnight ago raided the market on Sunday night and used iron sheets to block the market off the vendors.

In a message to KCCA councillors and executive, the minister wrote asking them to expedite businessman Kiggundu's plan.

However, Lord Mayor Lukwago has told her it is not going to be as easy as she sealed off Park Yard market.

Recently, it emerged, the businessman was not the only person with interest in the area.

KCCA came out to claim they needed to approve Kiggundu's plan before he could embark on his plans.

It remains to be seen whether or not Lukwago and his KCCA councillors will heed to Kamya's call.
